Dudley Registration Services

Welcome to the Dudley Registration Services booking system

We will use the data you provide for the sole purpose of making and dealing with your appointment or ceremony with the Registration Service.

All services are by appointment only. If you or a member of your household have any Covid-19 symptoms, or you are isolating, please do not book to attend an appointment until you are symptom free.

You are required to attend the register office to register a death in person. You must book an appointment and attend the office for the district where the death occurred. If you have been advised that the medical certificate for cause of death has been sent by the doctor to the registrar, please book an appointment. No more than two people may attend an appointment to register a death. Please ensure that anyone who attends is Covid free. You should arrive on time for your appointment but please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before your appointment time. Certificates can be prepaid for when you book your appointment and are also available to order online afterwards if you prefer. We cannot accept cash or cheques. The burial/cremation form can be sent directly to the funeral director from the registrar, you will be advised about this at your appointment.

Appointments

IMPORTANT: A debit or credit card is needed to pay for any certificates required. Please pay when you book your appointment or by using the link in your confirmation email to pay online before you attend. We do not accept cash payments.

Notices of Marriage and Civil Partnership

IMPORTANT: Please read the information on our website before booking an appointment to give notice. If you book an appointment and we are unable to take your notice, you will lose the fee you have paid and your ceremony may not be able to go ahead as planned. Notice appointments are available at our Stourbridge and Dudley offices, you may attend either location to give notice. Appointments are only available to book within the next few weeks, we release further appointments each week. This enables us to manage the demand for appointments with our staffing resource. Please note that at busy times, you may be able to book two single appointments sooner than a double appointment.

  • Make an appointment to give notice of marriage for a marriage ceremony either at the register office, approved premises or a religious building. If you are marrying in a Church of England church, banns are usually read at the church instead.
  • Make an appointment to give notice of civil partnership if you are planning a civil partnership formation.
