Civil Partnership Formation Booking

Welcome to the Dudley Registration Service civil partnership booking system. A booking fee is required to complete this process. Our fees can be seen at www.dudley.gov.uk. You must both be free to form a civil partnership at the time of making your booking request. Any previous marriage or civil partnership must have legally ended before a new civil partnership can be formed.

Civil partnership formations can be booked three months from today's date at the soonest.

Bookings between 12 and 24 months in advance incur an additional 'save the date' fee.

Bookings cannot be made more than 24 months in advance of the formation date. 

Please have a debit or credit card ready, a booking fee and full payment is payable when submitting a request. When we receive your booking request we will reply to you with a provisional booking email advising you what you need to do next. Once we have processed your provisional booking we cannot refund your booking fee. An administration fee is payable to make any amendments to a booking. DO NOT give notice of civil partnership before we have sent you a provisional booking email, we usually do this within 5 working days. If your payment fails, the request will not have been processed. Please check your bank account for any deductions before repeating the process. If you are unsure if your request has been processed, please email register.office@dudley.gov.uk.

Bookings are confirmed once the legal notices have been given, which must be done as soon as possible and no later than 28 clear days before the formation and can be done up to 12 months in advance. You must both be free to form a civil partnership at the time of making your booking request. We will retain your provisional booking for two months from the date it is booked to allow time for you to give notice. If you do not give notice within two months, it will be assumed that you no longer require the booking, we will cancel the reservation and make the date and time available for another couple to book.

Booking fees are non-refundable and other refunds are issued in line with our terms and conditions. DO NOT book a formation if you are not both free to form a civil partnership, if you are obtaining a divorce or dissolution, you should not make a booking until the decree absolute or final order has been granted.
